Bio e Storia dei Trivium
I Trivium sono una metal band statunitense formatasi a Orlando, Florida, nel 1999. Sono noti per il loro stile che fonde elementi thrash metal, heavy metal e metalcore, creando un sound tecnico e aggressivo.
Nati dalla passione per il metal classico di Matt Heafy (voce e chitarra), Travis Smith (batteria) e Brent Young (basso), i Trivium iniziano suonando cover di band come Pantera, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth e Testament. Queste influenze saranno fondamentali per forgiare il loro sound futuro.
Nel 2003 pubblicano il loro album di debutto, “Ember to Inferno”, ancora con una formazione acerba e un sound grezzo. Questo lavoro, nonostante la giovane età dei componenti, li fa notare nell’ambiente underground metal.
Il 2006 segna una svolta per la band. Firmano un contratto con la Roadrunner Records, etichetta discografica di riferimento per il metal, e pubblicano “Ascendancy”. Questo album li lancia nel panorama metal internazionale, grazie a brani potenti e tecnici come “Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr” e “Anthem (We don’t care)”.
Nel 2011, il batterista Travis Smith lascia la band e viene sostituito da Nick Augusto. Questo è solo il primo di alcuni cambiamenti di formazione che i Trivium affronteranno negli anni successivi.
Anche a livello sonoro, la band inizia a sperimentare, mostrando un approccio più melodico e meno aggressivo in album come “Vengeance Falls” (2011) e “In Waves” (2013).
Matt Heafy rimane l’unico membro originale della band, circondandosi di musicisti talentuosi come il chitarrista Corey Beaulieu (dal 2004) e il bassista Paolo Gregoletto (dal 2004).
