Bio e Storia dei The Smile
The Smile è una nuova band formata da Thom Yorke e Jonny Greenwood dei Radiohead, insieme al batterista Tom Skinner e al produttore Nigel Godrich. Il nome della band è ispirato a una poesia omonima di Ted Hughes, che esplora temi di ansia, incertezza e condizione umana.
La musica di The Smile si allontana dallo stile caratteristico dei Radiohead, incorporando elementi di jazz, funk ed elettronica. Il loro sound è stato definito “scuro e atmosferico”, con “chitarre scintillanti, voci distorte e ritmiche intricate”.
Il loro album di debutto omonimo è stato pubblicato nel 2022 con titolo A Light for Attracting Attention. Nel 2024 è prevista l’uscita del loro secondo album Wall of Eyes, in pubblicazione il 26 gennaio. Seguirà un tour che toccherà anche il nostro paese.
