Bio e Storia dei Placebo
I Placebo sono una band rock britannica formata a Londra nel 1994. Il gruppo è composto da Brian Molko (voce e chitarra), Stefan Olsdal (basso) e Florian Coquerel (batteria).
Brian Molko e Stefan Olsdal si incontrano per la prima volta in una scuola internazionale in Lussemburgo.
Nel 1994, dopo essersi trasferiti a Londra, formano i Placebo con Steve Hewitt alla batteria. Il loro primo album, “Placebo”, viene pubblicato nel 1996 e ottiene un grande successo, trainato dai singoli “Nancy Boy” e “Come Home”.
Nel 1998 la loro fama si consolida con lo splendido “Without You I’m Nothing”, che contiene il singolo “Pure Morning”, che diverrà il più conosciuto del gruppo assieme a “The Bitter End” del 2003. Nel 2010, Steve Hewitt lascia la band e viene sostituito da Matt Lunn. Nel 2022 la band celebra il 25º anniversario del suo album di debutto con un tour, e pubblica l’ultimo album sin qui “Never Let Me Go”.
