Bio e Storia dei The Darkness
I The Darkness sono una rock band inglese formatasi a Lowestoft, Suffolk, nel 2000. La band è composta da Justin Hawkins (voce, chitarra), Dan Hawkins (chitarra, tastiere), Frankie Poullain (basso) e Rufus Tiger Taylor (batteria).
I The Darkness si formarono nel 2000 quando i fratelli Hawkins, Justin e Dan, decisero di formare una band insieme. La band pubblicò il suo primo album, “Permission to Land”, nel 2003. L’album fu un successo commerciale e di critica, raggiungendo il numero uno nelle classifiche britanniche e vendendo oltre 2 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. L’album ha prodotto tre singoli di successo: “I Believe in a Thing Called Love”, “Get Your Hands Off My Woman” e “Love Is Only a Feeling”.
I The Darkness hanno ampliato il loro successo con il loro secondo album, “One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back”, pubblicato nel 2005. L’album ha raggiunto il numero uno nelle classifiche britanniche e ha venduto oltre 1 milione di copie in tutto il mondo. L’album ha prodotto due singoli di successo: “One Way Ticket to Hell… and Back” e “I Know You’re Gone”.
I The Darkness si sono sciolti nel 2006 a seguito di problemi di droga e alcol da parte di Justin Hawkins. Justin ha intrapreso una carriera da solista, mentre gli altri membri della band si sono dedicati ad altri progetti. Si sono nuovamente riuniti nel 2011 e hanno pubblicato il loro terzo album, “Hot Cakes”, nel 2012.
