Bio e Storia di Lenny Kravitz
Leonard Albert Kravitz, meglio noto come Lenny Kravitz, è un cantautore, polistrumentista, produttore discografico ed attore statunitense. È nato a New York il 26 maggio 1964, da padre ebreo statunitense (Sy Kravitz, produttore discografico di origini ucraine) e madre originaria delle Bahamas (Roxie Roker, divenuta famosa per il suo ruolo di Helen Willis nella popolare serie televisiva I Jefferson).
Si è trasferito a Los Angeles nel 1986 e ha iniziato a suonare con varie band. Nel 1989, ha firmato con la Virgin Records e ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto, “Let Love Rule”. L’album è stato un successo commerciale, vendendo oltre 5 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo.
Il 1993 è l’anno della sua consacrazione, quando Are You Gonna Go My Way vince ogni premio immaginabile ed è una hit universale. Dopo sei anni di silenzion ha annunciato il nuovo album Blue Electric Light per marzo 2024.
La musica di Kravitz è una fusione di vari generi, tra cui rock, soul, funk, reggae e pop. È noto per le sue voci soulful, le sue melodie orecchiabili e le sue capacità di improvvisazione.
