Biografia e Storia dei Sonata Arctica
I Sonata Arctica sono una band power metal finlandese formatasi nel 1996 a Kemi. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da una miscela di power metal melodico, influenze di musica classica e progressive metal, con elementi di musica sinfonica e folk.

Tony Kakko (voce, tastiere)
Jani Liimatainen (chitarra)
Tommy Portimo (batteria)
Henrik Klingenberg (tastiere)
Pasi Kauppinen (basso)
Storia:
La band si è formata con il nome di Tricky Beans, cambiando poi in Sonata Arctica poco prima dell’uscita del loro primo album, Ecliptica (1999). Il successo è arrivato subito, con il secondo album Silence (2001) che ha consolidato la loro posizione nella scena power metal. L’ultimo è Clear Cold Beyond, uscito a ben 5 anni dal precedente.
