4 anni dopo “Sounds of Universe”, i Depeche Mode sono finalmente tornati con un nuovo disco intitolato “Delta Machine“, in uscita il 26 marzo; la promozione dell’album, iniziata con “Heaven”, è giunta alla fase successiva questo pomeriggio con l’arrivo del secondo estratto “Smoothe My Soul”.
Il pezzo al primo ascolto è molto potente: esso vanta una base elettronica pompante con la quale il gruppo di Dave Gahan sembra quasi voler tornare alle origini, come se la canzone fosse una rivisitazione in chiave moderna di brani storici come “Personal Jesus” o “Halo”.
