Bio e Storia degli Amon Amarth
Formazione: Gli Amon Amarth nascono nel 1988 in Svezia, inizialmente sotto il nome di Scum, con un sound più orientato al death metal classico. È con l’arrivo del carismatico frontman Johan Hegg nel 1992 che la band cambia nome e direzione musicale, abbracciando un sound più melodico e incentrato sulle tematiche vichinghe.
Influenze: Le principali influenze degli Amon Amarth sono il death metal svedese (Dismember, Entombed) e la mitologia norrena, che permea tutti i loro testi, dalle epiche battaglie navali alle storie di dei e guerrieri.
Stile musicale: Il loro sound è caratterizzato da riff potenti e melodici, blast beats frenetici e le profonde e possenti vocals di Johan Hegg. I testi, come detto, sono un inno alla cultura vichinga, celebrando la valorosità, la lealtà e la vita oltre la morte nel Valhalla.
