Ben vent’anni dopo il successo de Il coccodrillo come fa?, i norvegesi Ylvis sono saliti alla ribalta internazionale con The Fox, brano che, inconsapevolmente, copia lo stile del celebre pezzo vincitore della trentaseiesima edizione dello Zecchino d’Oro!
The Fox, prodotta da Stargate, è infatti una canzone volutamente assurda, dal sound elettronico, che nel giro di pochissimi giorni è riuscita a guadagnarsi milioni di visualizzazioni su Youtube grazie ad un simpatico video e un testo davvero esilarante, soprattutto nel trascinante ritornello, che potrebbe tranquillamente diventare il tormentone di questo autunno.
Il pezzo in questione ha ricevuto inoltre una straordinaria pubblicità grazie ad uno spot di Abercrombie & Fitch, che l’ha utilizzato come colonna sonora, e alla partecipazione del gruppo, in veste di performer, al prestigioso Ellen DeGeneres Show.
